[Not long after his announcement on the network, Obi-Wan had gathered up the kitten, and all the things that she would need while they were gone. All of it packed into a bag that he slung over his shoulder, and carrying the kitten in a small pet carrier.
This is how Padme would find him once he arrived, knocking at her door.]
[ Padmé has spent the bulk of her day tidying her apartment, not that it really needed much tidying. Papers were put away, books returned to their proper shelf, tea selection lined up in the cabinet... It helped her to pass the time while she steadfastly avoided addressing her desk and the photography paraphernalia currently laid out on it. But eventually it was all that was left—
So thank goodness for that knock. Hurrying to the door, she opened it with a smile, immediately leaning over to get a better look inside the carrier. ]
Why, hello. I don't believe we've been introduced.
[Big blue eyes look up at Padme through the door of the carrier, belonging to a ball of white fuzz with a few brown spots on her ears. The kitten mewls, but is surprisingly calm. That being due to Obi-Wan having used his talents with the Force to soothe her. Otherwise she would be much more upset at having to travel like this, not knowing what is happening.]
This is Ashla, and she’s very pleased to make your acquaintance.
[Ashla mewls again, her head turned to look up at him as she reaches a paw out to bat at the hem of his cloak.]
Though I believe she’s quite eager to get out of this box.
[ She's seen kittens and full-grown cats in photos and videos, but this is her first experience with one in-person. The little mewls were even more adorable like this. And when that little paw reached out? Well, Padmé has always had a fondness for animals, even if it was nothing like Anakin's. ]
Well then, you'd best both come inside and get settled.
[A smile spread across Obi-Wan's face and he took her invitation. Seeing himself inside, he proceeded to put down his bag and the pet carrier. The little kitten sticking her head out to sniff and look around as she carefully stepped out.
Once she deemed it safe though, Ashla suddenly bolted in a burst of energy that was pent up from being inside the carrier. The kitten dashing across the floor this way and that, her back and tail arched in excitement.
Obi-Wan just had to chuckle at her antics as he pulled the supplies out of the bag.]
I've brought everything that she will need, and I have instructions for you that we can go over if you like.
